The Fin Challenge

Are you passionate about everything happening in our sector? Do you love a challenge and find yourself contemplating how things could be done differently, better, more efficiently, or more sustainably? Even better, are you willing to actively use your expertise and experience to help shape the future of banking?

Then join The Fin Challenge! During this two-day bootcamp, you’ll unleash your entrepreneurial spirit, receive intensive guidance to further develop your strategic and communication skills, and work alongside experienced professionals to devise creative solutions to support your customers (retail, private, business, and corporate).

In The Fin Challenge, you’ll collaborate with colleagues from other banks to develop and present a single creative idea to a jury. The best idea will be rewarded!

Groupe cible

The Fin Challenge is open to anyone in the banking sector who wants to think creatively about common challenges. In addition to participating in The Fin Challenge, you can also register for another training program offered by Elan+.

Connaissances préalables

No prior knowledge is required. We embrace diversity in all its forms: you’ll work with colleagues from other banks, spanning generations and job roles. You don’t need any prior experience or knowledge related to sustainability.

Programme

Theme of the Year: The Impact of the Financial Sector on Sustainability

Together with you, diverse experts, and experienced professionals, we’ll explore how the banking industry can positively impact sustainability. What innovative solutions can we create to help customers across all segments achieve greater sustainability? What role will sustainability play in the bank of the future, and what skills will be needed to shape this future?

Key Dates

27 March 2025 – Workshop

• What is the real challenge?
• In small groups with your fellow participants, you’ll take the first steps in developing a solution for your assigned challenge.

3 April 2025 – Ideation & Constructive Feedback

• Learn innovative brainstorming techniques to further develop your idea.
• Use constructive feedback to refine and improve each other’s ideas.
• Each team will select one idea to pitch to the jury.

4 April 2025 – Fine-tuning & Pitching

• Professional actors will help you craft and deliver an engaging pitch.
• Present your idea to a professional jury.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Workshop (27 March 2025):
Febelfin Academy, Koning Albert II Laan 19, 1210 Brussels.

The Fin Challenge 2025 (3 & 4 April 2025):
‘Sparks’, Ravensteinstraat 60, 1000 Brussels.

This program will primarily be conducted in English, but documentation will be available in Dutch, French, and English.

Méthodologie

The Fin Challenge offers an alternative learning format where participants are challenged to put theory into practice through a competition.
